Church History
Pastor Marion Ramsay was saved in the Shiloh Apostolic Church in Frankfield, Clarendon, Jamaica. She came to Canada in 1966 and worshipped with then-Pastor Jones in Toronto, travelling from Kitchener, Ontario, each Sunday. After relocating to Hamilton, Ontario, she started a movement in her basement.
Faith Apostolic Church was established in the 1980s. Before the church was formally founded, the brethren gathered for worship in the basement of Brother and Evangelist Ramsay. As the ministry grew, the congregation moved from the Ramsay home to the YMCA, and later to a small church on Dundurn Street.
The church eventually purchased its current place of worship at 1855 Main Street East, where the congregation continues to gather today. At this time, Evangelist Ramsay was ordained as Pastor of the church and continues to faithfully serve in this role.

Believe
WE BELIEVE in one ever living God, infinite in power, holy in nature, attributes and purpose. His name is the Lord Jesus Christ.
(1 Tim 3:16).
WE BELIEVE pardon and forgiveness of sins is obtained by genuine repentance, confessing and forsaking of sins, and baptism in the name of Jesus Christ, according to Acts 2:38.
WE BELIEVE in the baptism of the Holy Ghost, with the evidence of speaking in tongues, as the Spirit gives utterance.
(Matt 3:11; Acts 1:5; Acts 2:4, Acts 10:46)
WE WILL never be intoxicated with wine, rum or any other strong drink (1 Cor 6:9-10).
WE WILL not wear fashions which appear immodest
(1 Tim 2:9-10).
WE WILL abstain from those things which appear evil to our brethren and the unsaved (Rom 12:9).
WE WILL take no EVIL report against our brethren, but will seek to prove the things we hear before we accept them (Titus 3:2).
WE WILL have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them (Eh 5:11).
WE WILL always be at service, except at times when we find it impossible to attend (Heb 10:25).
THE LORD’S SUPPER
On the night of Jesus’ betrayal, He ate the Passover with His disciples, after which He instituted the Lord’s Supper (see Luke 22:19-20); 1 Cor 11:23-24). We do this in the commemoration of the death, burial, resurrection and second coming of our Lord Jesus.
FEET WASHING
This first example was given by our Lord, and it is a divine institution. We do well to follow His example and wash one another’s feet: thereby manifesting the spirit of humility (John 13:1-17).
GIVING
We believe in giving of finances and time for the work of the ministry. We believe financial giving must be on a systematic basis. Tithes and offerings has always been used for the propagation of the work of the Lord, and is essential and important for he work of the Lord today. We should give as God has given to us, NOT GRUDGINGLY, for God loves a cheerful giver (Mal 3:8; 2 Cor 9:6-9; 1 Cor 16:2).
MARRIAGE AND DIVORCE
Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery (see Matt 19:9; Matt 5:32). I will never be yolked together with an unbeliever by marrying him or her after I am saved (2 Cor 6:14-16).
